I don't understand the Soft Rejection

It’s a mobile template, here is the demo : https://xioyuna.com/yui/demo/

The reviewer’s comment :

  1. Some of your files contain validation errors that will need to be fixed. Please be sure that all files validate before resubmitting.
You can validate HTML at http://validator.w3.org
  1. There are a few inconsistent spacing/padding as well as alignment issues throughout the design. Please go through your files and weed out these basic design issues.
  1. Please delete the images from download files and replace with placeholders. http://placehold.it - Please mention this in the item description so buyers understand it is not included in the download.
  1. None of my files contain errors. If some files do not pass W3C validation it is because there is no HTML tag or head tag on these files. My app uses Framework7 and pages are loaded by Ajax so there is no need to put theses tags.

  2. “alignment issues throughout the design” ? Can anyone tell me if they see any alignment errors? I respected iOS margins to the pixel.

  3. Why do I have to do this? All of my images are free to use (they comes from Unsplash) so why can’t I put them in the download folder? It helps customers find their way around and has demo content instead of just vulgar placeholders…

  1. There are errors - https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fxioyuna.com%2Fyui%2Fdemo%2F

  2. Yes, I am also using Unsplash in templates but also I am providing placeholders - that is how it is

  1. That’s on the demo page, not the template itself. You think those are the mistakes he’s talking about?
  2. But it’s not forbidden? I always put pictures in my templates and I never had a problem
  1. Yes. Fix that (it is easy fix)
  2. Generally not - Unsplash license allows you to do that, but here are Envato rules. You can just make them blurry (the original images) and that is ok

padding/margin on bottom is required.

Hope its not only for notch disply mobiles,

Top of search bar there is empty space.

On the Demo, when I click on “Categories” in the bottom menu, there appears an error in the console (using Firefox on Linux. In Chromium that error wasn’t showing up):

TypeError: _0x282e29[_0x2cd6(...)] is undefined[Learn More]

file:
app_obf.js:1:15819

AS far as I know there should not be any errors in console as well.

Template looks really nice BTW

Your theme looks awesome!! I’m not a seasoned designer, but it looks good to me

Thanks you guys for advices !

I am soft rejected again, and what a soft rejection !

Please make sure you refer to this item as a “Template” (not theme) in all the instances, title, main image, tags and description, you can do a ctrl + f (or cmd + f) to find it.

What does it mean ?

There is nowhere the word “theme” in all my application / description / documentation / images, nowhere!

And it is specified that it is an HTML template everywhere!

The title of the item is : “Yui - News & Magazine Mobile Template”

The first sentence of the description is : “Yui is a clean and complete HTML mobile template that will help you create a mobile website or native app using solutions like Phonegap or Cordova.”

Also, later in the description, in the FAQ part (and it’s the first question), I specified :
Is this template a WordPress Theme?
No. This is an HTML mobile template.

I even put the “html” logo on the image thumbnail of the item!

What more can I do? :weary:
