It’s not 100% clear what you’re asking, but if you don’t know the difference between a solid and a composition, then you’ve probably got a long way to go before you’ll be in a position to submit After Effects templates here. I could be wrong.

But to answer your first question… open After Effects. Make something in it. Save the project. The resulting project file means you now have an After Effects template. There’s a bit more to it than that, but that’s the main gist of it.

To answer your third question… you don’t have to use any solids in your templates.

But yeah, if you can be a bit more specific with regards to exactly what it is you’re looking to do, what your current level of After Effects proficiency is, and show any examples of your work you’re thinking of submitting… then I’m sure people will try their best to help out.

So it’s not an After Effects template, it’s a motion graphics video? Personally I’d be surprised if it gets accepted, but you never know. I’m not a big fan of the colors, the design in general or the abrupt changes between colors. I also think it’s far too fast for a background. If people are going to actually use it as a background for other content, then it might get a bit too distracting.

I’d search for animated backgrounds or probably VJ loops specifically, search by sales and by items within the last year… that should give you an idea of the standard that they’re looking for
