How to remove white space above header

wordpress

#1

I’m using the Jupiter theme and there is a white strip across the top that I need to remove. It used to contain the ‘login’ link and, even though I’ve managed to remove the link, the strip remains. It makes my header way too big. I know it is not part of my header because it is not effected when I make my header transparent.

Hi,

your best solution to this is contacting the theme author using their support forum -> https://themeforest.net/item/jupiter-multipurpose-responsive-theme/5177775/support

thanks

I’ve worked it out. It was an option in the global settings. Thanks for your help.

Solution 1:I solved the space issue by adding a border and removing is by setting a negative margin. Do not know what the underlying problem is though.

header {
border-top: 1px solid gold !important;
margin-top: -1px !important;
}

Solution 2:Just to reduce white space you can try adding this:

.hgroup-wrap {
padding-top: 0;
padding-bottom: 0;
}
However there will still be some blank space it you want to get rid of it as well, then add this line of code.

#main-nav {
margin-top: -38px;
}
