Do you know, is it allowed to publish a lite version of my wordpress plugin on the official wordpress plugins page? I mean as a exclusive author? i think it can be a good promoting for a plugin.

If you mean wordpress.org/plugins then the most important thing is to release your plugin under GPL license (full version as well). Simply you can not promote any non-GPL product from your website linked from WP repository.

I think Envato prohibits to promote Envato item with light versions on any other websites.
Now, that’s interesting. So it’s not allowed to have a free “lite” plugin somewhere and a premium one on CodeCanyon? Is there an official rule against this?
