How to make my pattern ovelap perfectly?

Hello folks,

I’m drawing an Islamic geometric pattern and I want to create a pattern using it. I’m facing an issue with the corner paths don’t overlap when I make the built-in pattern tool.

I changed the stroke cap properties of the corner paths from Butt Cap to Projecting Cap. This helped decrease the gap between the pattern tiles but was not enough.

Could anyone suggest a solution to this?

There may be a better way, but this is what I would do.

Expand the lines so that they’re a solid shape, then drag the point that’s not touching the edge of the pattern up so that it lines up with the point below it. That way when it’s tiled they’ll come together to form a point.
