I already bought a template. I need help in installing.

Based on the title and item name that sounds like a HTML template and not a WP theme so unfortunately it won’t work with WordPress

Then it should be installed via cpanel file manager or joomla template install manager?

Is not a WP theme - won’t work on WordPress but you can edit the code and content as normal and then apply it to any website using FTP

if you are starting out - installation is pretty easy or there are people who you can hire to help at www.studio.envato.com

The challenge will be that because it is a HTML template you will need to have a basic understanding and ability to edit code to make most changes.

Unfortuantley it is not going to be a content management admin like WordPress

I have uploaded theme using ftp but the site wont open. It is giving the following error:

"You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
What could be wrong? Is it that my licence is not activated or what did I not do right?
Please help

That error could be due to a number of different things. My guess would be that the files that have been installed either are in the wrong location or that they are not the right ones.

Did you edit any of the code before uploading it via FTP?

Did you upload the individual files and folders from the download (rather than just one single download folder with everything still inside?

Unfortunately there is an assumed level of knowledge to be able to handle the basics when buying items.

There are paid for services on www.studio.envato.com where people can help, or you could try asking then item author if they will do it for you but there is no obligation.

I did not edit any code before uploading to ftp and I uploaded the files once as a folder. But I uploaded them separately using file manager.Honestly I need help.Thanks

I would begin by asking the author if they will help.

In terms of uploading - it’s impossible to give exact instructions without seeing the file structure, but

  • there should be a folder in the download that says something like “main”, “site”, “HTML” or similar

  • in this will be a bunch of HTML files including the most imporant one labelled “index”, and some folders such as “CSS”, “js”, “images” etc.

  • You need to copy ALL of these HTML files and folders straight into the main directory of your website i.e. don’t just upload the single folder which contains these.

  • That will make the website work online.

To edit the website you need to modify the HTML files, images etc. then copy the update file as above.

Depending on he hsoting you are using mos thave help videos on how to upload HTML templates
