For all the time work here, I have never received this badge, What feelings you experience when it happens :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

Its depending on your item selling or too much visitor coming on your item then you see like this on you item http://prntscr.com/ns8met that time you will received a trending badge like this http://prntscr.com/ns8mzd

Or any of item from your portfolio is getting good sell on short time on that item category base then you can be received that Trending Badge.

To get a trending badge simply follow these steps:

  1. Get your family to write a comment for your track.
  2. Get your friends to write a comment for your track.
  3. Get your neighbours to write a comment for your track.
  4. Get your coworkers to write a comment for your track.
  5. …and this is the most important and guaranteed way to get an item trending so do not worry about level of sales - spam all authors getting them to write a comment for your track.

as we know Trending Item based on a mathematical term of browsing rate(pageviews), exit rate, bounce rate, Comments etc. Trending is current visitors activity performance sign. So, for getting trending badge your item visitor performance should be outstanding.
