This outfit makes a plugin called Visual Bakery. It now demands to be upgraded on 2 sites. We obviously have to do this for security. But a) when click the link in wordpress plugin updater to their site there is a price but no indication how long the renewal is for - a ‘regular license’ may only be 6 months. b) if i go to their main site they seem to be selling it for c. 100 USD for one year. c) you CANNOT CONTACT them because on their site despite a link saying “we are here to help you” in reality they will only talk to you AFTER you have paid and d) for me at least the Envato support site is just broken - keep getting blank screens and error messages when i try to submit a support request. So; does anyone know how you can contact the makers of “Visual Bakery”? Thanks

Hi - thanks. Bought independently through Envato and then registered on wpbakery.com. What is very strange is this:

Reality: “Update failed: Automatically updates for the plugin are available to the clients with a valid support period - you can renew it [here]” - link to demand for USD 49.00 (for another 6 months!!!).
And - you can’t even contact them, without paying the USD 50.00, to ask them what is going on!

Ok. Got it. It is a “campaign”. There are 2 links in the “update failed” message when you try to update it manually. One leads to a page where you can renew the support the period. Another leads to their main sales page where you can buy it. I would guess that many people at this stage simply renew their “support” period. But - if you hunt around you can find a download page where you can download the current version without paying. The current version is also available in Envato downloads section. So. it is a “campaign”.
