how does the review process work? the referee listens quickly through the middle of the tracks and to the end? how is this done? i’m really curious about that.
I don’t know for sure, but they have to listen to the entire track, as they are also looking for noises and mixing mistakes. They might have some spectral check too, for other issues
I got soft reject once, with the message from the reviewer saying that one of delayed note creates a dissonance with the dry signal, and pointing me exact time in the track where this dissonance occures. So I think they listen very carefully.
i did an experiment. i sent two separate runways with spectral analyzes bad and good, the bad are approved, the good is rejected. then i erased the track. maybe that day, the referee was confused.
