I think having a beautiful profile is better than not having one. As for how much of a difference it makes, I’m not sure. I guess the main thing is the quality of your item… a well designed profile and branding for your items is unlikely to result in sales on a terrible item… and it;s also unlikely to stop you from getting sales.
I guess the key to branding on the marketplaces is having a great item that people like and branding it so that when you upload a new item, people will be able to easily identify that it’s one of yours and are then probably more likely to check it out.
Also, if you have a beautiful profile and well branded items, then even if there’s nothing that a buyer specifically needs at the moment on your portfolio, then at least they might be more likely to follow you so they can keep up to date with your new items.
That’s the way I see it anyway.
