How important is mono compatibility for AJ tracks? Do you mix in mono?
I mix using headphones so I guess I should always be mixing in mono… If 2 instruments occupy the same freq range, do you use panning to prevent sound masking?
for me the answer is not as often as i should. i always end up with a better balance/eq when i do my initial levels and first eq’ing in mono, but i almost never force myself to do it!
