How do you open an eps file so I can create a flyer.

Hello,

I purchased a subscription to Envato and want to create a flyer. When I download the file, I’m unable to open on my HP computer because it is an eps file. Do I need to purchase an Adobe product? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To my knowledge, EPS files can only be natively opened using Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. There is a way to open it with GIMP which is a free program, however, it requires some messing around and extra downloads, and there’s no guarantee it will work properly.

The majority of flyers on Elements and the Marketplace are provided in AI, PSD, and/or EPS formats, which all require Adobe programs to open and use. (Illustrator or Photoshop)

Unfortunately there isn’t really any flyer template that doesn’t require some sort of editing software to use, and the majority use Adobe.
