How do I request a refund for a purchase?

I purchased a product yesterday and was hoping to get it to work on a WordPress/WooCommerce installation but there are some security vulnerabilities to the way the plugin works and I am not interested in using it any more. I have asked the developer about the security vulnerability and they can’t seem to give a proper answer about it. Can you please let me know how I Can request a refund?
