I downloaded this preset project file and I can’t get it to work.
I get an error saying there are 2 missing effects.
But they don’t seem to be provided in the download.
The download only has an after effects project file and a placeholder footage clip.
Am I doing something wrong here? Or missing something?

Such plugins can’t be provided in the download package, as the author isn’t the creator of them, and they need to be downloaded for free or bought separately. In your case both of these plugins are not free, and can be purchased here: https://www.redgiant.com/products/trapcode-mir/ and here https://www.redgiant.com/products/trapcode-sound-keys/
If you don’t want to buy them, the question is if these plugins were listed as required in the project description?
If in the project description there’s no mentioning that these plugins are required to have in order to use this project, then you are entitled to a refund cause such item would violate Item is “not as described” or the item doesn’t work the way it should policy from here: https://videohive.net/page/customer_refund_policy#not-as-described
If however these plugins were mentioned in the project description, and you just missed them, then it’s a bit more difficult. In such case you could try contacting the projects author to see if there’s anything that he can do for you in this situation
