Help with HTML template soft reject

I have just got my second soft reject on my first HTML template, and the reviewers comments are very ambiguous.
I have sold all the issues from the first soft reject and now others have emerged.

Here is the preview: http://demos.codeniner.com/edura/

And here are the reviewer’s comments:

  1. READABILITY: Parts of your design are either difficult to read or have contrast issues. Please make sure all sections of your design have adequate contrast and all text is easily readable on all devices.
  2. TYPOGRAPHIC HIERARCHY: The typographic hierarchy of this item requires additional work. For more information, please read: http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/understanding-typographic-hierarchy--webdesign-11636
  3. SPACING AND ALIGNMENT: There are spacing and alignment issues in this item. Please make sure that all elements are aligned properly and spacing is consistent from section to section. Here are some articles with more information regarding negative space and proper spacing: http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/using-white-space-or-negative-space-in-your-designs--webdesign-3401, http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/adding-space-to-your-designs--webdesign-14836

I have read the articles but I can’t figure out what is wrong with my item, any help would be appreciated.

With all due respect the reviewer is spot on.

  • the typography issues are the root cause of the poor readability e.g. font choices, hierarchy, sizing etc.

  • -there’s a lot of inconsistency in margins and padding of different sections

  • generally the design feels a bit raw and outdated
