Hi, everyone.
I would like to ask for your help. Why do you think my two projects about thirds and infographics were rejected? Of course, without giving a reason.
I will be glad to receive your comments, thank you!
Uploaded the video to my adobe portfolio, since you can’t add videos here, only a link.
Hi, I think the lower thirds were rejected cause: the design is just another variation of those simple shape boxes, with one cinema and location spin thrown in. So nothing too unique, BUT amazing animation maybeee could save it, but then the animation is also just as simple and bland. So overall design thats been milked to death by previous authors + super basic animation = rejection.
As for the infographics, Im sorry to say this but the design is much worse than the lower thirds. By worse I mean the colors clash and dont work with one another, end up looking ugly. Then the fonts, layout, proportions, random cubes behind the circles? It kinda just doesnt work to create a modern current look, or any nice look. The whole design overall feels very dated and unprofessional. So the animation doesnt even matter at this point, the design kills any chances of approval.
I would say take a look at recently approved similar projects that are getting sales or are popular on Envato Elements. This is the quality bar you need to reach.
As for infographics, I would also suggest opening Behance and looking up some well rated or featured infographics, to get an idea of what a good, current infographics looks like. And then perhaps consider not taking on such big projects yet. I mean if you can’t nail lower thirds design yet, then infographics introduces just way too much more things to juggle around and more possibilities to get those things wrong. Perhaps its better to first learn to get smaller scope projects right.
So you need to work on your design theory, color theory, typography and then on creating interesting animations that use all kinds of easing styles.
Best of luck!
