Google Analytics Option for the ThemeforestTheme

Dear Experts,
I have made an option in my theme using Redux Framework for the users to input google analytic code.

But someone told me that themeforest would reject my theme for using google analytic code option.

Is it true?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, just put in in a plugin territory.

Hi @TheRubikThemes,
Thanks for your kind reply.
I have also an option for embeding social posts like facebook posts, twitter tweet etc in the Redux Framework.
Does this cause any approval issue?
Thanks again. (Y)

Read below comments:

Themes execute the presentation and styling of content while plugins handle content creation and functionality. Anything users will lose upon switching themes is classified as plugin territory. Here are some common examples:

  • Analytics
  • SEO options
  • Forms
  • Non-design related meta boxes
  • Resource caching
  • Dashboard widgets
  • Custom Post Types
  • Custom Taxonomies
  • Shortcodes
  • Social media “like”, “follow” and “share” buttons
Anything that falls into plugin territory must be added via a custom plugin. You may use TGM Plugin Activation or equivalent to prompt the user to install the plugin on theme activation, but it cannot be activated without user action.

Thank you so much @TheRubikThemes

Oh, one thing more

I have put the analytic code into a plugin as you recommeded.

And I have also kept an option for the users to put their analytic code easily through Redux Framework option panel of the theme admin panel.

Is it okay to give option in Redux Framework?

Sorry to have bothered you again and again
