Goodbye Elements Wordpress

Elements Unlimited has served me well over the last 2 years and I have installed certain plugins on many of my websites. Unfortunately, Elements is unable to guarantee that a plugin will still be available today, next week or next month as the Author can remove the plugin anytime from Elements as described here:

Nor automatic updates are available for most of the element WordPress plugins and had to discover many times an update was available because the plugin stopped working.

I will return once Envato come-up with a better, reliable system where we do not need to worry about that plugin can be removed/deleted from Elements any time.

Please note: Elements is fantastic platform and my complaint is only for WordPress.

No one can give you promise that something will stay forever - we are just humans.

Worth noting that this is exactly the same if you bought a plugin via CodeCanyon.

It doesn’t matter what the item is or what marketplace you get it from with Envato - a huge contributing factor to their position is that they don’t own the items for sale so if an author wants to remove it then there is nothing that they can do about it.

Yes, buying from the main marketplaces rather than Unlimited has its benefits when it comes to auto updates and support, but it doesn’t stop authors from removing the item.
