For activation may be you have to get regular license! or you have to get in touch with that item author.Maybe they can help.

I have same problem, erned one free files and cant use this, because any functions and “plugins” only will apper if i do activaction.
I didn’t use any free wordpress theme from Themeforest 
In that case i’m not sure 100% about free theme installation!
Per the theme’s comments, you need to contact the author of that theme from their profile page (https://themeforest.net/user/gt3themes) and ask for a free key.
