I got hard rejected flyer. Want to know what is the issue in design and what scope of area need to work more?
You have issues on every aspect: Typography, readability, hierarchy, composition, spacing, aligments, elements integration, colors, amatorish overall look and feel.
It is pity because the Festival of light idea is so permissive that I already have several ideas in my mind.
Just search on Google for Diwali posters to find some excellent pieces.
hi i think that maybe the inly thing that does no have to be redone may not be yours … did u draw the light illustrations ?
otherwise here is the problems that u are confronted with …
1- typo
this is flat in a general way apart from the titles (a bit). It takes more variations and combinations of fonts , plus a real attempt to bring something more original …
2- readability
most of the information cannot be read so what is the purpose to have the concerned information?
3- contrast
most of the texts are not popping out, not being noticed, and sometimes ever hard to read … as the contrast between the background and texts on top of it is not subsequent enough …
4- lack of finishing
your work at this stage looks pretty raw … drop some shadows between the texts, try to fill in the gap that u have in the gap and so on and there will be a much better feeling resulting from what u have done here …
5- color choices
i am not an expert but the fact of the matter is that diwali is often red or orange color, of course u may try to change the “standard” but the choice of color right now makes lights flat and and the global item rather dull
6- disposition
the texts seem randomly placed …
7- alignment
hard to understand what is the logics behind the way u flagged and placed texts …
8- lack of information
do u realize that u have some info about a place with the place is named, at this stage? so naturally enough as the name, an important data is not here , this is not being valued either … when this is expected from u …
Thanks a lot… will try to improve
