Hi there,
I really like the composition. It’s mixed well too. Unfortunately, it’s a very saturated and competitive category so anything less than perfect is going to be instantly rejected. I think you’re choice of instruments are all in a frequency that ‘cuts through’ too much for background music. The acoustic guitar with bend sounds a little obtrusive as does the whistle. Generally, there is too much going on.
The breakdown section sounds great and the general vibe from 1:35 would be more of a direction I would take the whole piece in. Basically I think the track would benefit from deleting some parts to create some space. Sounds a little ‘busy’ to me.
Nice work though, I don’t think it’s too far away.
