Fake licence audiojungle

Hi, after a few years I received an email from Epidemic Sounds that I use their song without a license. I bought the song on audiojungle. At this time, the user who has sold already has an inactive account.

This user’s account is no longer active but it doesn’t change the fact that I bought the license.

What can I do in this case?

Epidemic Sounds said :

Hi there,

First of all, we’re so sorry that this has happened to you!

It seems like you have been sold a false license to music which is 100% owned by Epidemic Sound. We advise you to request a refund for the license you purchased since it is not valid.

The track that we’re claiming against is our asset Streetlite - Sum Wave that was exclusively produced for us.

Epidemic Sound are the sole owners to 100% of the financial rights of this track. We have full ownership in Content ID and there are no exclusions in our reference.

To smoothly accommodate your use of this track, we will be happy to offer you a 30 day free trial of our Personal Plan, which is suitable for non-commercial use. We have subscriptions designed for both individual YouTubers and businesses, and we also offer single track licenses. You can learn more about our licenses and sign up here: https://www.epidemicsound.com/pricing/

We hope that you will consider signing up with us, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.

All the best,

Sam

Hi mediasopl. Sorry to hear that you’ve had this horrible experience.
If you submit a ticket to the Envato Market Support Centre, I’m sure they can accommodate you.

Unfortunatelly it doesn’t work like this. If you bought stolen car, can you keep it? Even if you didn’t know it has been stolen?

Sorry to hear this. It is a huge problem of the internet, not only AudioJungle. Ask Envato support, negotiate with Epidemic Sounds and ask for compensation/sue this author if it is profitable and possible.
