error updating and conlficting php, plug-ins

My website runs on enfold, I have had several conflicts with updating themes, wordpress, php and plug-ins. What is the best way to manage this?

  1. wordpress update
  2. enfold theme update
  3. php update
  4. plug-ins update
    Is that the way to procede?
