Envato theme not recognizing WordPress Memory Limit in wp-config.php?

I’ve recently purchase and installed the WpResidence Wordpress theme from Theme Forest, and even though I’ve made the line define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ ) to the end of my wp-config.php file on my server, the theme continues to give me the warning of:

“WordPress Memory Limit is set to 40M Recommended memory limit should be at least 96MB.”

I’m hosted on Bluehost, and their tech support claims that it all looks right on their end too. Any ideas what I’m overlooking to get the memory limit where it needs to be for the theme to allow me to cleanly import the Demo data for it?

you can try to put the code at the very top of the wp-config.php
