Envato Seller or Author Account Username Created Automatically

Hello,
I just created an Envato account & became an author on Envato. But when creating the account, I wanted the username ‘themexxx’ (imagine) as my chosen username without changing it at all. But when creating it with my email account, it automatically created a username for me; that was unexpected. As I want a unique username & want to choose on my own without changing it, how to create that? I can’t find any username option to decide what it should be.

Please help @BenLeong @KingDog & refer on how to create an Envato seller or author account with my chosen username - A unique username I can set when creating an author account.

I know but change is visible on Envato profile. I want to chose or create my username on my own when creating the account. Lots of new authors are creating account which are not similar to their email account username. The username should not create automatically by Envato. I should have ability to create or chose my username on my own without changing it from Envato profile settings.

So instead of putting an afford to spend less than a min to change your username, you’re asking Envato to invest hundreds of hours coding/testing a feature that is not really important? I’m sure they will change their schedule to add your requested feature.

I am not questioning Envato features!

I just want to know how to choose a username when creating an Envato account (previously Envato does have this option to choose or set username). I have seen lots of new authors who are creating an account with a username that seems like their company name. It’s not the username of their email. Just curious to know how to do that without changing the username from profile.

There is no disrespect to Envato or their features at all. BTW, on Gmail, when creating an account - you can choose the username whatever you want (if not used by another user). I hope you know that :slightly_smiling_face:

Earlier before sometime, at first you could choose your username but right now I’m not sure how many total users Envato has but it’s a problem to find an username - therefor it’s quite OK to get one username automatically at the beginning of the registrations.

If you have further questions, you should create a ticket instead of asking/looking for help here.
