The theme has a crazy amount of potential but sadly lost some steam around November last year after a really strong initial few months, I do think this was down to a slightly incoherent item page. Here’s what I’ve done:
Removed the really long change-log, instead kept only the 3 most recent changes and moved the rest to a dedicated external page.
Improved overall copy, the previous copy was a bit of a let down, the new set is much more clear and sells the item better.
Improved feature lists for the theme, allowed people to scan what they can expect much more easily.
Added and admin features list.
Removed our old graphics, replaced with new, branded, coherent graphics which follow a much more clear graphical theme.
Added more calls to action within the page graphics.
Improved overall load times with careful image optimisation.
Added some of our most glowing testimonials for the theme.
This was way more work than I anticipated, but I love a challenge. I pulled an all-nighter on this one, so I’ve got my fingers crossed. I’m a musician on Audiojungle, and here is my item page url:
So I actually updated both my profile page and an item page, so I will showcase both. First, the before and after profile page:
Search Engine Optimization by means of h3 headers, keywords chosen, alt tags for all images, changing all links to https, and limiting the meta description line to 156 characters or less, and cross linking related items into a quick search on the item page, as well as public collections pages.
Graphic Improvements by means of having a graphic artist help redesign my logo to fit the 590x242 profile page banner, creating many additional banners for easy searching and exploring, re-creating existing banners to look much better, and including easy to click social media buttons.
The addition of two testimonials to my item page with a link at the bottom to read more
Refining the look and feel of my brand by means of matching the color and style all home page banners to the 590x242 banner, choosing to match colors to my exiting logo, showing the influence of my brand in public collections, and using similar styled banners between my item page and profile page.
###Thank you to everyone who entered, we’ll announce the winners on Monday, April 18th. Great to see so many fantastic entries! No-one is a loser in this contest because if you’ve updated and spruced-up your item page, it’s only going to help you attract more customers, everyone’s a winner!
We’ll be back on the 18th (US time) with the results. In the meantime, we’ll temporarility lock down this thread until then.
