Do I need author permission to use jquery plugin from Codecanyon in a premium theme I'm developing?

So I’m in the process of creating a theme to submit for approval to sell here on Themeforest.

It’s a WordPress theme and I found a useful script (jQuery script/plugin, not WordPress plugin) on Codecanyon, and I would like to use this script in a theme. It has extended licence option enabled for purchase, so I was wondering, if I buy extended licence, can I use this script in my theme or do I, besides that, also need author permission?

Btw it’s an MP3/Soundcloud audio player jQuery script and I wan’t to use it for playing audio in my theme (since it’s music/bands related theme).
