purchased the above action, followed the direction paint on the area i want to create the dispersion effect but it affects the whole image, this also happens with the fire and dust action. am i doing something wrong?

all good thanks, realised what i was doing wrong, instead of creating a new layer i was duplicating the layer…now it works as it should…
