Some vendors sell applications with compiled and obfuscated code without specifying this in the item description. As a result, the item cannot be modified or customized. And you don’t get any response from the authors after reporting the problem.
Is this an authorized practice on codecanyon?
How do you report such authors?
Am I entitled to a refund? If so, how can I get one?
I’m not the only customer who’s been screwed like this. I have seen many customer reviews denouncing this state of affairs.
The latest code is not usable for development (modification). it’s for production only. I should have the code from the first image to be able to modify, then build my own code for production.
When you ask the vendor, he doesn’t answer any more.
I really don’t know enough about the category to be able to comment on the issue but it does seem odd that they would complicate access to anything that is meant to be included and such a key element.
When/how did you try to contact the author?
They seem to reply quite fast to item comments and your post there is very recent.
It also says they can take up to 2 business days to respond to general support queries.
Seems like you have submit the request 7 hours ago, it may take a while to get a respond but probably the reply would be:
“due to security reasons you will not be able to edit few parts of the code.”
It seems there’re some codes obfuscated and it’s against of Envato policy. Please, contact support and report the item. You may request a refund as well if the code is not 100% editable.
