Disappeared Featured File

I saw it too. Tracks got immediately kicked out of featured file after changing the price alot higher.

This is just absurd. And in what price range does featured tracks get kicked out? Can you adjust the price at all? Only down?

You have to follow the rule which doesn’t exist, it’s not ok. You have been punished without a warning, it’s not ok either.

I’m truly sorry to hear that. A featured file is a big deal, could definitely be a game changer, I wouldn’t let go just like that, specially given the fact that you didn’t get a previous warning and that there is not a specific rule in Envato’s terms in this regard.

All my support.

Really??? We watch the featured items regularly and only saw 2 go away, and it was only after the price go to $5

When did you see others? :slightly_smiling_face:

Neither previous, nor post. They had to open a ticket and wait for three weeks for support to come up with an explanation. It’s very rude and inconsiderate.

We are just cattle to them.

Sorry @OneWaveStudio to read about this sad affair. That must have been horrible for you.

Betcha butt that if you ask Envato this, they’d come up with some shite about their anti-price fixing policy and how their actions were “legally” the only course they could take.

Sad, but true. I think most of the humanity has gone from Envato, and us authors are now merely just a means to their end. Perhaps it’s always been like that, but recently, they’ve just gotten worse at pretending that they care! I haven’t been around here long enough to really know. But I think the complete lack of communication in this sad situation, and their encouragement of price dumping is further proof that they will just act in accordance with what suits their bank balance, and have a general disregard for the livelihoods of the authors and the health of the stock music market in general.

Yes, too slow communications is not good… but I don’t understand what you write here… If feature is removed when price is too low… how it’s “encouraging” price dumping??? It seems, it is discouraging it!

Better to have explanation of course, but we also support Envato, feature items should not be 5$, it will make it even worse for all the authors. Many authors agree this. Thanks.

Hi IvanLuzan!
I did not lower the price of the featured file to 5. If you claim that this was so, please provide screenshots or other evidence of your words. It is doubly strange to hear some claims against other people from an author who has tracks for 5 in his portfolio.

That part of my post was off-topic, so sorry for the confusion Ivan. In general, Envato does nothing to stop price-dumping. They claim that it’s out of their hands due to legal reasons, which we all know is just a way to wash their hands of any moral culpability. The actual encouragement of price dumping I was referring to was the sorry situation in this thread:

Hi everyone. Thanks to all those who’ve posted in this thread for your input. And @OneWaveStudio - I hope that you now have the clarity you need from your support ticket.

An item that is featured is not guaranteed to remain featured indefinitely, and features may be changed or removed at any time, if deemed necessary. To be clear, just as AudioJungle does not need to explain why featured items are selected, it is also not required to explain why items are not selected, or why items may be changed or removed.

For these circumstances, authors are of course free to price their items as they wish under ADP. However, drastic price fluctuations can create inconsistency and unpredictability for buying customers. This is particularly true for items displayed on the Market homepages, due to the high traffic they receive. It’s essential that buying customers experience a level of certainty and consistency around item prices, most notably those homepage features.

I’m going to close this thread now, as the OP now has an answer to their question.
