Yes you can use custom image on your profile hope there will be no problem.
If you don’t have your own online host ect. I recommend you to use google disc… avoid free file hoting services (like tinypic was) - I used tinypic - after few years they shut down and I had to manually update my almost 300 items description where I had pictures hosted by tinypic - for me google is most trustable free file hosting like this. ;]

for using images in your profile and item description you have to upload images in the web (web hosting place) and have to put the images in your profile and item description as like this way:
<img src="WEB-URL-OF-THE-IMAGE" alt="image" />
Just replace WEB-URL-OF-THE-IMAGE with your image url and put the code into your product Description.
When you will submit the form then envato will manage the images and will show from the envatousercontent.com. It is envato default auto features.

I also thought that Google is a reliable site. But I was wrong. Now I have lost all thumbnail images in the description of almost all projects. I thought Google cares about their reputation. But no. Looks like they don’t care about customers 
Now I am making my own website so as not to suffer from the unprofessionalism of popular sites

We will see, when I checked my disc there were my old pics… still… so I think this few new one stay too 
if not = 2 days updating again
