CS5 to CS4 Project

Hello guys,

please can somebody help me? How can i export CS5 project to CS4 ?:frowning: I lost many sales because i create my new project in CS5…

Thank’s for help

I found solution http://aescripts.com/pt_opensesame/ but this only get me .tsv file and i think that buyer need this script, no?:frowning:

Or, u can do it the old fashion way, open up project in cs5, open cs4, go to the bottom layer composition and recreate your project from bottom to top (from solids, lights, cameras, to pre comps etc). Most effective and error proof way imho.
P.S.: Having two monitors really helps allot with this

http://aescripts.com/pt_opensesame/ does it just fine. Once you open in CS4 simply do a “Save as” and you are done.

You must be mad.

But, what if you don’t have the cs4 version still available? I am thinking of upgrading my version to the latest version, will Adobe leave me the license to cs4?

If you already have CS4, then installing a new version of AE won’t get rid of the old one. I have versions of AE on my computer going back to version CS3.

But if you never owned CS4, then you can’t make CS4 projects. CS4 is no longer available.

CS5.5 is able to save backwards as CS5 though, so getting the latest version allows you to go at least as far back as CS5.

Export with pt_opensesame, open in cs4, even cs3 (why not), and save in ae format. Thats what I would do. You can use trial version of After Effects, if you don’t have previous versions

That definitely should be useful. Never heard of this one.

I am seriously thinking of an unlimited account, but most of the work I would purchase is in CS5 and I only have CS4 . I use for our local social club to make flyers for events and cannot afford to go out and purchase more software. Im also on a mac, if anyone can offer a suggestion it would be good.

Well, to be honest, there’s not much you can do about software versions like these ones, you’ll have to upgrade to something that can read that specific version.

Adobe is notorious for this unfortunately, but lately, with the new softwares they released, this issue seems to be gone.

Cheers!

i understand, but found this thread as a seller had the reverse problem, he was losing sales as his work was in CS5 but didnt seem to get a solution. Mine as a purchaser means I wont buy and to be honest will then look and pick and choose graphics that suit my requirement rather than upgrade to purchase the odd item

Well, to be honest, this thread is 8 years old, haha!
