I am planning to run a crowdsourcing campaign for raise funds for a plugin. If I sell the plugin through Kickstarter for initial funding, can I switch to being an exclusive selling on Envato after?
Unless they’ve changed something recently you won’t be able to crowdsource software through kickstarter/indeogogo.
Kickstarter has some strict rules on what type of software projects they accept. Check them out first.
If the plugin is for sale only on Envato and nowhere else then at that time you should be able to be exclusive. That’s like me taking a plugin down for sale from my own website and selling it exclusively on codecanyon. Should be fine but best to wait for a staff reply.
