Hi everyone , I am planning publish my future works in themeforest . But creating WordPress theme from scratch it’s hard work and i decide to use as prototype another wp theme , distributed under GPL licence . Tell me somebody , my theme will be approved ?
Course if my theme will be significantly different from the original .
you need to follow above standards for your theme to get approved.

brilliancetechsols, thanks for the answer and I was already familiar with Envato submission requirements . But I need an answer to the main question : it is possible to use third party GPL themes to create own premium themes ?
In theory yes but it depends on where it’s coming from ie you can’t base it on another theme from here and if there are any specific licensing irrelevant of the GPL
