Continuous hard reject of my templates!

Hello!

I’ve been designing for 20 years, 10 years working for Envato, I’ve been on Elements since day one.

So far, I have received about 1.000 works that are always on the best-seller list and I often find them on some blogs (and the Envato blog) as an example of perfect design.

In the meantime, I was hired to work for Adobe Stock (also Adobe InDesign templates).

We all know how sales dropped by 30 to 50% and how hard it is to live as authors.

In the last few months, EVERY piece of work I submit to Adobe has been approved the next business day, while the same work to Elements has been rejected without a word.

Does the review team know how much time we spend to create a new work, to make a presentation, and then to upload it?

And when they reject 20 of my works at once, and this has happened for the tenth time in the last few months, I feel miserable and humiliated. In total, I have had close to 100 new works rejected since Christmas. Every single one I sent, to be exact.

I KNOW that it’s not a quality issue (I repeat, I’ve been doing design for 20 years, I’ve been working for Envato for 10 years, I’ve been accepted for over 1.000 works), but something else entirely.

My monthly income on Elements dropped from 1200 USD to 700, and then to 350. It’s so sad and pathetic.

And finally, my efforts to refresh my online market shop portfolio with new works are getting hard rejects week after week.

I’m terribly frustrated and angry!

You cannot be an exclusive author and be selling your work on multiple marketplaces.

If the reviewers catch this happening then there’s a good chance your marketplace and elements accounts would be disabled.

If the files you are trying to submit but are being rejected are also already for sale elsewhere like others then there’s zero chance they would be approved.

I totally feel the same about the review issues lately. It seems like there has been a change in the review team or something similar because none of my items got approved this month on Envato Elements. I’ve already contacted support, but the response was just asking me to read the guidelines again, which I don’t think is the issue. I’ve been following the guidelines closely, and I’m creating high-demand, low-supply items, so it’s not about market saturation.

Also, I just want to mention, if you’re selling outside Envato but your status on Envato Market is exclusive, that could be a problem since it violates the platform’s rules. As authors, we should be fair and not just chase earnings by breaking the rules.

Hope this gets resolved soon for all of us!

I totally get your frustration—it’s tough after all the hard work and years of experience. It sounds like the review process has changed or become less clear, which can be disheartening. Have you tried reaching out to Envato’s support for feedback on the rejections? Sometimes getting specific insights can help. Keep pushing forward, though! Your track record is solid, and these bumps won’t define your success in the long run.

I had the same issue with earnings, imagine from 2k drop to 0.5
I think Shutterstock buy Envato market to kill competition. We were on the top of the world and last few years we are below the line. No one invest in us. We can’t work for penny.

Is Elements only for exclusive authors?
Or is there an option to choose if you want to be exclusive or not?

Graphics items that exist solely on Elements are considered non-exclusive.

How does exclusivity relate to Envato Elements?

Think of your Exclusivity Setting as Envato-wide. So if you set your account as Exclusive on Envato Market, you can still sell those same items on Envato Elements and PlaceIt as they are all part of Envato, but you couldn’t sell these items commercially anywhere else. Your exclusivity status and the associated commission rate will not affect what you can earn through Elements or Placeit.

If you are accepted onto Envato Elements you will learn that almost all items that are on Elements, are also on Market. The exception to this is Graphics items which can be uploaded to Elements independently of Market. Graphics items that exist solely on Elements are considered non-exclusive.

I’ve actually had more success getting my photos approved on Envato when I submit only one or two at a time. You might try the same for templates and see if it helps. :woman_shrugging:t2:
