Closing theme Jarida

My Jarida theme has been discontinued and has no updates. I was advised to use Jannah. Do I have free access to this theme, considering my theme has been discontinued?

You’ll need to purchase a license to use the theme.

But don’t the purchased themes have vital updates? Shouldn’t I have access to another theme considering mine has been terminated?

For using a different theme, you may need to purchase a valid license.

Adding new features or fixing bugs to adapt to the current environment is a lengthy process that requires significant time, effort, and expense. Maintaining a product over time can become challenging and costly, which may be why development on the theme has stopped. According to Envato’s policies, authors are not obligated to provide updates. If you plan to continue using that theme, you might need to hire a developer.

When you purchase a license from Envato, the author receives only a portion of that payment — and in many cases, it doesn’t even cover 1% of the actual development costs. Beyond development, there are additional expenses such as providing item support, hosting demo content, and maintaining the product. This is the reality for many products on Envato, where creators often rely on passion to keep their projects going. The likely reason the theme was discontinued is that it didn’t generate enough sales to justify ongoing development. Continuing would have meant the author had to invest their own money or commit to a lengthy update process to meet current standards.

No.

No.

Lifetime theme update is not something that all of the authors can manage. Only maybe there’re few authors who’s able to offer lifetime update but most of them are now asking “active support” period to be able to access the updates as well.

There’s nothing in the world that offers lifetime guarantee for one purchase. Be realistic.
