Christmas Ident rejected: made changes

This one got rejected. In the preview are all the versions. This is the mp3-preview version.
Was it too much? Or what else needs to be changed?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

It sounds too midi for me, and the final is abrupt.

That’s strange? I used all quality instruments. Made it tight (also the ending) because of it being an ident. Maybe it just doesn’t work. Thought it was fine, but obviously it got rejected… Any more input?

I listened closely to this to see if I could understand the problems, because I am working on shortish Christmas track (longer than an indent though) which I will submit soon!

I think main issue is with the violins - they just don’t sound natural, not because the samples are necessarily bad in themselves but the combination of the articulation used and the short notes makes them sounds artificial and odd. It might have worked better with legato lines.

Oke, I used a combination of arps, pizz. and legato lines (with small velocity). I definately can work with those comments. Thanks!

I think it’s the short legato part that sounds wrong.

Oke, I will look into that. Thanks again!

I made significant changes: changed the short legato strings into natural ones, improved the starting rinkles, better trumpet and overall better mix/mastering. How is it now?

This version sounds a lot better I think  My only suggestion is maybe make the starting rinkles a bit quieter - they sounded slightly harsh to me
