Hi everyone.
I’ve got this couple of hardware synths and one of them has got separate output. I would like to use it for i.e. drums and bass and “compress” them.
I’ve found 3 so far: Behringer Autocomp 2400, Alesis 3060 and DBX 166 in the same price range. Has any one of you have experience with them ?

I´ve worked with the dbx and they are very good especially for your needs - drums and bass sounds. Well, if you see a Behringer - run as fast as you can…

I’ve used the Alesis (if you mean the 3630) and wouldn’t recommend it. I haven’t tried the other two, though between the names Behringer and dbx definitely choose dbx.
I’d recommend the FMR Audio RNC - a little bit more expensive (I think about $175) but much better reviews.
Are you looking for a compressor for live recording drums and bass? Or just a hardware compressor to use along with your DAW?
Used for a month the dbx XL. Not so bad, I think that for low frequences can be the right choise.

Thanks guys for your input. Based on your experience and some other opinions found in the internet I thik I’ll go for DBX. Once I come up with the track using this I share experience with you - someone maybe one day will ask the same question.

No no no … I’ve got Korg MicroX. It’s got two set of outs. Normal and additional pair. This instruments has got only 3 DSP - one insert and two sends. If I use insert as compressor for drums and bass section I can’t use i.e. nice flanger as I need use reverb and delay. Also I’ve got nice little mixer and my audio interface has got only one stereo input.
