Can the author join as an affiliate program by using the same author account?

Can the author join as an affiliate program by using the same author account? when I try to join it need to create a new account. however, it should be allowed to be logged by an existing account. can somebody explain it? I open this like from the footer of the market site Become an affiliate and select 30% plan, it opens a new tab to fill up all information for signing up.

and can I join as an author?

can I refer to my own items?
