Can I record and sell covers from classical composers like Mozart?

Hello dear friends
I hope my post find each and everyone great! I would like to ask a simple question! I see a lot of people uploading covers from classical composers and I am really interested to do that! I wanted to ask if its ok to do so and how ?

Yes, it is okay to submit songs that are in the public domain, which definitely applies to Mozart.

Just making sure you know, as it’s not 100% clear in your post… the music/lyrics/melodies of such songs are no longer under copyright, but the majority of modern day performances of such songs are… so you need to perform these covers yourself (which you can then record and sell). Thought I’d share… just to be on the safe side!
