I made a website with a purchased regular license. However, I took this website down at the beginning of the year. Now, I want to use the theme on a new website. Is this allowed?
Also, I’m being told I need to deregister the theme on the old website, but I no longer have any way of doing this. Is there a way around it?
Technically this would be against the terms of the license (once you use the theme on a website, it’s forever tied to that website, even if the website eventually shuts down).
But there are a lot of authors who make exceptions to this. You can try contacting the author of your particular theme to ask if they can deregister it for you.
