Can I get an old style html site hosted?

Hello all, newbie here,
10 years ago I built and managed a html based site with a template using MS Expression Web and had it hosted for nominal money.
Now things seem more complicated. Web builder software advertised as free actually has a monthly charge, hosting sites want 3 yr commitment, etc.
If I build another html based site the same way, can I get it hosted at a reasonable price?

In short yes…

This category will offer HTML site templates. These are likely to be a little more complex than 10 years ago but there’s plenty of solid (and free) tools to make it easier such as this.

There are many cheap and reliable hosts that do not require more than a month commitment (shortening this will impact the cost). e.g. this.
