Authors sell you a license for use, not own. You don’t have to give credit though since you paid for rightful use, if this is what you are asking.

But the author is taking credit for some animations i used in a Grammy award winning video. Even though i paid for the clips. Seems their should be some protection for the buyer in this case.

Contact Envato Support and let them know. Include also your screenshots for proof of what is happening.

It’s more ethical rather than legal issue. They paid for the license and they created the video by using your item, in the logic, they are not stating they own the design or idea. You should contact Envato support but I don’t think you’d be getting anywhere
