Broken Themes in wordpress

Hii Folks,
Please help me out in this, i have been trying to create my own theme in wordpress for that i have create to file inside the following directory:-
/var/www/html/wp-content/themes/palak theme
files that i have created inside the above folder is:- index.php and style.css
and after saving and again restarting the apache2 server the same error i am getting …already i have created the style.css file then why following error is coming:-

The following themes are installed but incomplete.

Name Description
palaktheme Stylesheet is missing. Delete

Do you have something like this in style.css on start:

/*
Theme Name: My Theme
Description: Description of my theme
Author: Me
Version: 1.0
*/

yes, here the glimpse of y code of style.css:-

Hi @badgujarpalak

This error shows when the theme folder is not correctly named.

If in style.css you have:
Theme Name: Palak Theme

Then the theme folder name should be:
PalakTheme (without spaces)
