Hello,

Looking to use audio in the background of a Spotify ad. Can I not use a Music Standard License? Is it considered broadcast?

Broadcast (a) Traditional television or radio broadcast (e.g. terrestrial, cable or satellite TV, broadcast radio); or (b) Mobile or online substitutes for traditional television or radio broadcast (e.g. mobile TV, IPTV (streaming TV or video-on-demand), streaming radio).

Spotify is not considered broadcast as per Envato’s terms. Usually, Spotify is a big no-no, as Envato’s terms prohibit the use of Audiojungle music in released songs, but in your case, an ad, it would be similar to a Youtube’s ad, and would thus be covered by a Music Standard License.
