The theme is “Blurb - Affiliate Marketing WordPress Theme”, I have downloaded from Envato elements. I am not able to use the theme as it (older version) has some glitches and it’s not importing the demo content.
Later time after looking up on the issue, I got to themforest has an updated version of the same. Can I request some1 to update the theme here on Envato Elements?
Your best option would be to ask the author via their profile on themeforest.
You will need to still be subscribed to elements to get the latest copy if they do update it
I do have subscription, but will the author be ready to share if I request on themeforest?
If the theme is not update on https://elements.envato.com/, they should be updating it right?
It doesn’t work the same way as themeforest.
Most authors keep things up to date but it’s not as automated as the main marketplaces

Can only be done by the author - envato are just the marketplace. The author is responsible for ownership/management/support etc. of items
The lack of support and guaranteed or ongoing updates for theme on elements is necessary as it sets it apart from the main marketplaces (different options suit different users) otherwise no one would ever buy from Themeforest again of unlimited downloads had the same benefits for less cost.
True but at the same time if I can’t use one asset (theme/plugin/visual) then what’s the use of unlimited download subscription
Depends on the issue and buyers ability to resolve any problems.
It’s not ideal but the whole model wouldn’t work without the difference from the main marketplace
