This is my new favorite thread. I just started thinking about running my own vlog and of course, I’ve spent the last month and a half religiously studying everything Casey Niestat does. The way he weaves audio into his 6 minute videos is amazing. I bet there are a ton of wannabes out there just like me who love that this is something AJ authors have already thought about and are producing heaps of content around.

This is one of mine, it’s a boom-bap style hip-hop track. It is dynamic and has a pumping beat, cool vocal sample effects and nice hip-hop chord progression and the scratched vocals part in the middle of the track. Also it has a version without scratches and vocal samples.

The first track I chose is a pretty new one from Trendsound. I liked the vocal sample because it brings a lot of soul to the beat. Also the overall sound is very warm and organic, like 90s Hip-Hop music should be. It’s a perfect soundtrack for fresh summer videos and documentary style videos about young and urban topics.
The second item is one of my portfolio and also a fresh funky summer background. It’s one of my favorites because it’s a super simple instrumental with nothing more than bass, rhodes and a funk guitar. For videos and vlogs the song is easy to extend because three seamless loops are included.
