I upgraded my site to WordPress 5.5.3 and it seems that old Javascript code exists in the Belief Theme, that is no longer supported. As a result my menu’s no longer work. However, WordPress did create a plugin as a workaround called jQuery Migrate Helper. However, this is a short term solution as this will be eliminated after version 5.6 is released. Will the Belief Theme be updated to fix this problem?
Given the theme is 7 years old and not been updated in 5 years, it seems unlikely that there will be any further changes. I am pretty surprised it still functions as it is now with WP5
