I’m an HD650 guy 
They give away some ‘AKG Tuned’ headphones with the new Samsung S8. Not an expert on how good they are compared to other headphones when it comes to quality, but they look good, sound good, fit really well and the fancy cord makes tangling less likely.
In ear though, rather than whopper over-ear things… so not sure how good they would be for music production.
Yeah, I have them and they’re nice, but hardly something to produce on. Good for listening and for referencing, especially if they’re your everyday listening buds.
