Avada - Updating from 5.9.3 to latest

I am thinking of deactivating Avada 5.9.3 and associated plug-ins and deleting them. Then I will download latest one from ThemeForest and reinstall it.

I will lose customizations which I will have redo but it will avoid a lot of headache and anxiety during upgrade process.

Does anybody see any potential issue in this approach?
